Are you tired of paying out taxes on cigarettes? There is a simple solution…grow your own tobacco. But how to go about buying seeds to start with and then there is the question on how to grow the tobacco. It starts with you having to decide what kind of tobacco to grow.

There are many types of tobacco seeds available to buy on-line from all over the world. Then there is an e-book available that goes step by step on how to grow the tobacco. Growing your own tobacco is not against the law in any country, so there is no worries about that.

Tobacco is a perennial (meaning it comes up every year) herbal plant. It grows to three to 6 feet tall and is commercially grown by many countries. The tobacco that is commercially grown is to be a hybrid of the wild Nicotiana species. The hybrid is believed to be of the Nicotiana Sylverstris, Nicotiana Otophora and Nicotiana Tomentosiformis. There are different kinds of tobacco uses, cigar, snuff, cigarette, and pipe for example.

Ordering tobacco seeds on-line is easy, most companies just request that you use either a Master card, or Visa since these cards are accepted world wide, some companies offer the option of Pay Pal. The cards that are especially acceptable that have been issued from the following countries: The United States, UK, Canada, and Australia. The seeds are sent in plain envelopes with no markings as to what the contents are. If you desire to pay in cash these are the current currency accepted: The Euro dollar, The United States dollar, Stirling, The Australian dollar, The Canadian dollar, The New Zealand dollar and the Russian Roubles.

A good company to order from on-line is www.tobaccoseed.co.uk
This company has just about every seed imaginable from all over the world. This company has the much sought after Virginia Gold that cigarette smokers prefer. They also offer the Turkish tobacco. Here is a list of the cigar tobacco they offer:

Black Sea Samsun
Barnett Special
Burley Variation
Burley Hampton
Cuban Havana
Dark Virginia
Cuban Petit
Goose Creek red
Isleta Pueblo
Greenwood
Little Crittenden
Lizard Tail turtlefoot
Lizard Tail Orinoco
Monte Calme Blonde
Original Wild Rustica
Narrow Leaf Madole
Turkish and Stag Horn.

Another good company to order from www.coffinails.com, here too they offer a wide variety of tobacco seeds from all over the globe. They give detailed ideas as to which tobacco to blend for either cigars or cigarettes.

This company www.2n.biglobe.ne.jp actually tell where in the world that particular tobacco originated from.An example is Jasmine Tobacco (Alata) this one comes from Brazil. Here’s one closer to home the Navaho’s grow this tobacco…the Mountain Tobacco (Attenuata). This a is a multi-purpose species with this helpful property…it is a natural pesticide.

This is another South American variety…The Tree Tobacco (Glauca)This one is from Argentina. Reported to only have a trace amount of nicotine. This is an annual (meaning it has to be planted every year.) comes from Chile…The Chilean Tobacco (Langsdorffi). This one, the Indian Tobacco (Rustica) is so potent that it is used “as arrow poison in Mexico.” However it can be grown as far up as Maine.

If you decide to check out www.magicgardenseeds.com, they don’t have many selections but they do offer many ways to purchase their products. All of the companies suggested, ship their seeds anonymously. You can even try your luck with E-Bay for seeds. These are just examples of tobacco seeds that you can obtain on-line from around the world.

For the most part the tobacco plant has many uses from just as a simple garden plant that is both aromatic and a natural pesticide. Even the flowers are pretty. So this plant isn’t just for smoking there are other uses for this plant as well.

Tobacco is richly misunderstood. Many people see it as something bad when they know nothing about it. It is easy to get caught up in all the controversy and debate about tobacco, but when you arm yourself with a little background knowledge on tobacco you can make your own decisions about it.

What is Tobacco?

Tobacco is Tobacco is the product of the leaves of a nicotiana plant. It is a useable product that can be consumed or used in other forms. There are many species of plants from which tobacco can be harvested. The nicotiana plant genre is native to North America, South America, Australia, parts of Africa and the South Pacific.

Tobacco has always been a popular product in the United States. It helped to grow the economy of the southern US states. In the mid-1900s concern about the health affects of tobacco led to great controversy that is still being felt today. However, despite this concern, tobacco still continues to be a very important product in the US and is used around the world.

Growing and Cultivating Tobacco

Growing tobacco is like growing other agricultural products. Seeds for the plants are planted into the soil and cared for so the plant grows. Tobacco plants generally need a warmth and plenty of light to grow successfully. it is popular in the US to use certain fertilizers that help to enrich the flavor in the leaves.

The leaves are harvested once a year. There are different ways to harvest tobacco. It can be hand cut or machine plucked.

Once harvested the tobacco must be cured. This is done through an aging process where the leaves are dried. Curing allows the flavor to reach its peak. It can be done through the air, using fire or a flue and using the sun.

Uses for Tobacco

There are many uses for tobacco. It may be surprising to find out that tobacco is not just consumed orally through smoking or chewing.

Of course, consumption is the most common use of tobacco. It can be smoked in cigarettes, cigars or through the use of a pipe. It can also be taken orally through chewing tobacco, snuff or dipping.

Other uses for tobacco often counteract the common stereotype of tobacco. Sometimes tobacco is a good product that actually aids in healing. Tobacco paste is often used as a treatment for stings from wasps, hornets, fire ants and scorpions.

Tobacco is also a natural insecticide. Tobacco water is often used in organic gardening to keep pests out of the garden. The leaves of the plant are not tasty to many animals either. Growing tobacco or using a tobacco water can be a way to naturally keep pests of all sizes out of the garden.

Tobacco often gets a bad rap, but it is not as bad as you may be led to think. Tobacco is a very useful product that is also an important product in the economy of the United States. Tobacco serves many purposes besides just being a recreational product. It’s role in healing and in organic gardening is a positive side to this misunderstood product.

To Learn How To Grow Your Own Tobacco Visit www.GrowRollSmoke.com

When it comes to a hookah, many people out there would not know the exact purpose behind it upon first glance. To many people it is easy to tell that it is a structure used for smoking. Other then that, things such as what is smoked in it, how it is used exactly, and the history of it is unclear to many people. What should be known is that the hookah originally came from alongside the borders of India and Pakistan. Since its creation this device has grown in popularity, especially in the Middle East.

Herbal fruits, tobacco, or cannabis is generally found to be what is smoked in this device. It works by water filtration and indirect heat. Before the Hookah was a status symbol for the Indian affluent, Akbar, Mughal emperor, who was encouraged to pick up the smoking habit, used it. Hakim Abul Fateh Gilani was a physician and was the man behind the invention of the Hookah. The entire system is designed to where smoke is passed through water in order to be purified.

In today’s world, in the United States, there are several Hookah bars floating around. These cars are normally near college campuses or cities that have a large Middle-Eastern community. The reason they can often be found near college grounds is that the Hookah cafes target young adult age groups. You can use Hookahs that are in the café’s or buy one of your own. Either way, it is a good idea to make sure that you are fully aware of the makeup of the Hookah.

There is the bowl, which is also known as the head of the hookah. It is this bowl that holds to coal and tobacco. After the bowl is loaded, it is generally covered in tin foil, metal screen, or glass. After the tobacco is covered, lit coals are placed on top to bring the tobacco to the proper heated temperature. Then there is the hose, which is nothing more, then a slim tube that allows the user to draw out the smoke. The hoses can be found in a wide variety of colors, sizes, and shapes along with being fitted for a mouthpiece made of plastic, wood, or metal.

The body of the hookah is a tube that is hollow. On the bottom is a gasket. There will also be at least one hold for the opening of the hose. For multi-hosed hookah’s you are looking at having several holes. At the bottom of the hookah you will find the water jar. This is where the tobacco passes through before it gets to the hose. When the smokes passes through the water it gains moisture and it is lowered in temperature, which makes it easier to inhale.

So now that you know a little bit more about hookah then you probably did before, you can make the decision if it is the right hobby for you. Just be careful though as there is still plenty of harm that can come to your lungs by smoking through the hookah.

To Learn How To Grow Your Own Tobacco Visit www.GrowRollSmoke.com

For many people, cigarettes are merely something that they buy and enjoy without a second thought, but have you wondered what was in the cigarettes that you are smoking? The truth is, there are more than 500 ingredients in commercially made cigarettes, and they will do everything from keeping the cigarette lit to producing a distinctively recognizable smell. When you are thinking about what is really in your cigarettes, you’ll find that some ingredients keep coming up time after time.

When looking at the ingredients in cigarettes, you’ll find that you will see a number of chemicals that are designed to kill weeds and insects, including DDT. These chemicals are used to keep the tobacco plants healthy but can take a toll on your own health over an extended period of time. You will find that there is no good way to get these pesticides out of your cigarettes, and that by ingesting them you can, over time, deplete your immune system’s ability to heal itself.

You’ll also find that ammonia is a common ingredient that is often added to your cigarette. Ammonia is toxic, and you may recognize the scent very easily; it is a common ingredient for use in commercial cleansers. For cigarettes, you’ll find that ammonia is used to help the nicotine get absorbed through your lungs more quickly. You’ll find that this can give your cigarette more of a punch, and your brain will be able to process a larger amount of nicotine with each puff.

You will also find that there are a number of chemicals that have been added to your store-bought cigarettes in order to improve the smell or to make them feel smoother when you smoke them. For instance, cadmium, which is frequently used in paints, appears in cigarettes, but is commonly linked to lung and prostate cancer. Similarly, benzene, which is linked to leukemia, and formaldehyde, which is linked to lung cancer, will appear as well. Most of these chemicals have a preservative quality, giving the cigarettes a longer shelf life.

When you are considering what you can do to reduce your health risk when it comes to cigarettes, you will find that switching to hand-rolled cigarettes might be the key. While many people feel that hand-rolling cigarettes is old-fashioned or too much trouble, you’ll soon see that there are a number of reasons to roll your cigarettes. You’ll be able to have more control over the finished product, and you’ll find that you have a better understanding of smoking itself. You’ll find that the only way to really be sure about what you are smoking is to grow it and dry it yourself!

As the price of tobacco rises from month to month, it’s getting increasingly tempting to just grow your own tobacco. Can’t be that hard, right? Tobacco is related to tomatoes, and a lot of people grow their own tomatoes in their back yards.

Unfortunately, tobacco is one of the hardest crops to grow quality plants for. Tobacco farming is labor intensive, consisting of first planting seed, then digging up seedlings and replanting them in rows, then carefully tending the young tobacco for months with strict control over the amount of sun and water they get, and then harvesting each plant by hand, putting them up to dry, and stripping and twisting the plants only after they’ve reached the ideal state of dryness/moistness.

This skips right over potato bugs (which find tobacco tasty), the giant green tobacco worms that will ruin a crop, root rot if you overwater your seedlings, and diseases like tobacco mosaic virus. And what about seed – where do you find it and what do you choose? When do you know the tobacco’s ready for replanting and for harvesting? There’s a lot to growing tobacco, even for an experienced gardener.

You can grow your own excellent-quality tobacco, especially if you live somewhere near the Tobacco Belt’s sunny region. But you must have a guide to do it well.

You can get information on how to grow tobacco online with a quick search, and most of it is good information, often from agricultural colleges. But every old tobacco farmer will tell you that you can’t learn how to grow this challenging plant without some very specialized help.

What seeds are best?

What kind of soil is best, and what’s the best thing to rotate it with?

Can you grow tobacco indoors? How?

And then there are all the questions you don’t even know to ask, like what suckering is and which bugs should be left alone, the feel of a good ripe tobacco leaf, and what the best places are to cure your tobacco on your own property – things that are not as simple as you might imagine.

Growing forums and online data also will not address things like rolling your own cigars using whole leaf tobacco, or how to prepare the tobacco to make the best burning cigarette.

The Grow Roll Smoke guide answers all these questions and more. It’s more than a growing guide for tobacco; it’s a complete beginning-to-end tutorial showing you all the preparatory work for growing your own all the way to the end, learning how to cure, strip, and store your finished tobacco leaf. Imagine the money you’ll save, growing your own tobacco; for that matter, the cash you can make on the side selling plug tobacco to your friends could offset the price of the guide and everything you used to grow the crop and then some.

No more $5 packs of cigarettes – now you can just do it yourself, bypass the taxes and hassle, and save tons of cash while growing your own quality smokes.

The way prices are soaring high for the price of tobacco, growing your own would seem like the thing to do.
You could if you wanted because it’s not too hard to do. With a little patience and the right supplies, you could have a some tobacco leaves of your own to put in your pipe.

You’ll need a sunny spot to plant your tobacco seeds, and make sure the soil in this spot is well drained. Soil that stays too wet or pools up water will rot your seedlings.

As with planting any other plant, you want to make sure the Ph levels are right for tobacco. Around 5.8 is the right Ph level for tobacco plants to thrive. A pH test kit is available at any nursery or department store where plants and soil are sold.

Maintaining the temperature when sprouting seeds is another important factor in raising tobacco. The best place to start seeds is in a propagator, which is plastic container with a lid on it. You’ll want to keep temperatures around 70-80 degrees and the closed lid will create the humidity needed.

As tobacco plants mature, they form resins and gum on their leaves. Too much rainfall during this time is undesirable because it washes all this off the leaves, leaving an unhealthy plant. About 115 cm precipitation annually is all a tobacco plant need to thrive. Too much water around roots will cause them to rot.

When choosing a fertilizer for your tobacco plants, you’ll want to be careful. Tobacco plants require fertilizer with no chlorine added to it and the nitrogen should be in the nitrate form. Be careful when you put fertilizer around the plants. Too much can burn up the roots. Follow directions on fertilizer bags.

The seasons mean everything when planting, and the same goes for tobacco. Although tobacco is a tropical plant, it is very hardy and can flourish in most environments. If the temperatures are too cold, the plants will grow slow and end up being small and puny. Temperatures around 25 degrees Celsius are prime for maturing tobacco plants.

How do you know when it is time to pick your tobacco? When the leaves get ‘ripe’ they are darker and thicker. Leaves ripen from the bottom of the plant to the top, so the bottom leaves are picked first. This will also give the top leaves a better chance at nutrients rising through the stem when the bottom leaves aren’t there drinking them in. These bottom leaves are referred to as lugs, the top leaves are tips.

There is a certain way to pick tobacco leaves to give the remaining leaves the maximum chance for further growth. A plant is usually picked six times. You pick only three leaves at a time. The harvest pick, which is the last, you take six leaves. After picking the leaves, tie them by threes at the stalk and hang upside down in a dry place free from any moisture.

Many smokers never stop to think that they can actually grow their own tobacco right in the comfort of their own home. There are quite a few smokers that opt to do this not just for the savings that they will generate but for the health benefits that come from home grown tobacco. Let’s take a closer look at exactly what you can expect when you choose to buy and grown your own tobacco plants.

One of the first things you will notice is the amount of money you will save when you grow your own tobacco and roll your own cigarettes. You can expect to go from an average of $4.50 a pack of cigarettes down to a whopping $1.25 per pack. You also have the choice of buying loose tobacco with papers and/or filter tubes for approximately $30 which means that a pack of smokes now will cost you approximately $1.00 a pack. How is that for a savings? Kind of gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “homegrown”.

When you first start growing your own tobacco and rolling your own cigarettes, you need to keep in mind that you will have to get some sort of tobacco inserting machine. There are many different types you can buy, ranging from as little as $6 for a handheld device, up to $450 for an electronic machine. Many people find that using a handheld machine works best if they’re making a few cigarettes at the time but others prefer to make them in larger quantity, so they opt to get the electronic machines. There is a basic electronic machine called the Supermatic, which will run you about $45 and it takes you approximately 17 seconds to roll one cigarette.

When you grow your own tobacco you can guarantee that it will be more fresh and free from chemicals and additives that can do more damage to your body. You can tailor your tobacco the way you want it by adding flavor and packing it as loose or as tight as you want. The harder you pack your cigarettes, the longer your cigarette will burn. The looser you pack your cigarettes, the quicker the cigarette will burn. You can even freshen up your tobacco if you find it too dry before you roll it by simply adding a few drops of water to it.

Most people love the benefit of less chemicals and additives in their cigarette. Since you’re rolling your own cigarettes you can guarantee your filters are not packed full of fiberglass which can also be very harmful to your body. You can purchase tobacco seeds from various places and go with many different types of tobacco so you can explore different flavors of tobacco. Many people find that they feel ill when they smoke manufactured cigarettes and that is due to all the additives that the manufacture puts into their tobacco. You will never have that with your own tobacco. It truly is the best way to go if you are a smoker.
